Director

Pete Court began his broadcast career in 1974 with UA Columbia CableVision in northern New Jersey. In 1983 he joined the US Chamber of Commerce’s new broadcast and satellite communications facility, BIZNet, where he served as Senior Technical Director. He directed international and national presidential videoconferences as well as numerous special events for other government and corporate clients (USDA, RECNet, American Management Association among others.) He directed The American Debate (SECA distribution) and two nationally PBS-distributed public affairs series, International Edition for Maryland Public Broadcasting, and American Interest for Blackwell Communications.

In 1987 he left the US Chamber to pursue his career independently as Technical Director for CBS (NFL Football, basketball, auto racing 1992 Olympics), NBC (George Michael’s Sports Machine, The McLaughlin Group, It’s Academic), ABC (New Directions with Ted Koppel, Good Morning America), ESPN (various sporting events), and Disney (The Mickey Mouse Club, Teen Win Lose or Draw, Star Search, Neon Armadillo). After successfully technical directing and directing for years Pete incorporating his company, Quickfire Productions, in Orlando, Florida which has been his base since 1992.

Enjoying the challenge of live, multi-camera production as well as combining theatre with television Pete brought his love of directing television to the corporate event world as broadcast technology began supporting major events. Among Pete’s corporate meeting credits are major events for IBM, Chevrolet, General Motors and NCR and Mobile Oil as well as national and international closed-circuit telecasts for Time Inc., Dick Clark Productions, Phillip Morris, Southland Publishing, and Medtronics.

1997,1998, 1999: Pete has produced and directed the broadcast of the Miss Florida Pageant. In addition, his entertainment career includes directing concerts and special events by such acclaimed performers as Joe Walsh, Peter Nero, Lee Greenwood, Ann Murray, Pilobolus Dance Company, Reba McIntyre, George Straits and Michael Macdonald, Tony Bennett, and most recently Deborah Turner, Barbara Eden, Leanza Cornett and Entertainment Tonight’s Mark Steines.
